Knoxville, TN now has another strong advocate for women’s empowerment in pregnancy and birth —
ICAN of Knoxville is now open and official. If you are not already familiar with ICAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network), I urge you to check out their national website at http://www.ican-online.org. This all volunteer, non-profit organization is dedicated to raising awareness about and preventing cesarean sections, reducing the rate of surgical births, providing support to those women who have had surgical births, as well as educating women about their options of having a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean).
