Support Habiba — in Knoxville, TN

A few women have gotten together and coordinated a local event in Knoxville, TN, to join with the international events being organized to show support for Habiba. You can read more about Habiba in my previous blog, or check out the Facebook page in links below. Habiba had her 15 month old child removed from her for refusal to wean.. and given only one visitation per week. How terrible to forcibly and traumatically separate a nursing baby from the mother.

Event Details:

Tuesday, June 21st
7:00 pm to 9:00  pm
Gay Street

At 7pm tomorrow we’ll be meeting at the park on Gay Street, where they put the Christmas tree each year. I will bring a few candles to light, although I’m not sure it’s legal.. (Hopefully somebody does?)

If you can, making signs to face towards the road would be great. Also, if you can print a few fliers, that would be helpful. Even if it’s only a few, it’s better than nothing!

If you have any questions, please contact me through FB. We are all Habiba
